Calibration is not fixed to A4 in unequal temperaments

I appreciate the ability to double tap on a note and change the root note for unequal temperaments, but this also changes the calibration reference note for that scale which is (usually) undesirable.

For example, change to 1/4 comma meantone and set the root of the temperament to C. An A of 437.4hz will now show as being in tune even though the calibration is set to A=440hz. I believe this is because the app is basing the scale on what would be an equal tempered C where A is set to 440hz.

When A is set to 440hz, A should remain fixed at 440hz, even if A is not the root note. The pitch of the root note should be derived based on the distance of the root note to the A4 reference in that temperament. Alternatively, the choice should be given to base the calibration on either the root of the temperament or leave it at A.

Yes, this is a good point. Because we don't know how this is dealt with in practice we should probably provide both options.
